Far more than by his bark a dog communicates through his eyes - from a soulful half raised eyebrow when denied a special treat to the wide and sparkling "Yippee! We're going for a walk!". Perhaps nothing can wrench the heart of a dog lover more than the pitiful, hardly-daring-to-be- hopeful gaze of an abandoned dog waiting to be adopted." - J.R.E.

By submitting this form to Pointing Dog Rescue you agree that the information you are providing is truthful and complete, that you agree to be bound by the terms of the Adoption Agreement, and that you agree to hold Pointing Dog Rescue and its officers and volunteers harmless from any and all claims, actions, damages or other liability in connection with the animal, this website or any related matters.

ALL Adoptive families go through the same screening process.

The adoption coordinator in your area will contact you within a couple of days of receipt of your application.

Our primary goal is to match the personality of the dog with the personality of the adoptive family, resulting in a permanent and loving home for the dog. The dogs are NOT adopted on a first come, first serve basis. Applicants cannot 'HOLD' a dog.

Each dog offered for adoption has been spayed or neutered, and is current on all shots.

An adoption fee is required for all dogs. This helps to cover the cost of veterinary care and other related expenses.
