Beau
Male neutered, 5 years old
Beau was a beautiful purebred German Shorthair Pointer. He had been left in the 20+ degree below zero weather on a chain in the back yard. His owners turned him into the shelter because he was barking too much. Beau did not do very well in the shelter. He was attacked by another dog and had begun to go “kennel crazy”. When we first met this dog, the light had gone out in his eyes but we knew he had a great potential and needed a great deal of love and attention.
Beau was good with cats, housebroken and crate trained. He came when called and ranged close. He had been hunted and was not gun shy. He loved toys and retrieving balls. He was adopted into a loving, active family where he is the only dog. His new family has enrolled him into the club’s pointing dog clinic. Beau is thriving and sleeping in the bed every night.
Beau turned into quite a hunter. Mark and Beau have become active club members.
