Remington

Remington is a 2 year-old German Shorthaired or Wirehaired Pointer. He entered rescue in March 2007. Remington was an owner turn-in as the owner did not have time for him.

Remi has been a kennel dog all his life and is starved for attention. He is just a big lover boy with very sweet disposition. He is good with kids and other medium sized female dogs. At this point we don’t know what he thinks of cats and small dogs. Remi has very strong pointing instict and really good nose for birds (the first day at his foster home he found quail and pointed them) but is not a trained hunting dog yet. His foster parents are working with him on recall and general manners.

• UPDATE 04/07 – Remi is doing wonderfully on recall. He loves to retrieve and he quarters naturally. He has been neutered and is current on all shots. He is crate trained and is doing really well on house training.
• UPDATE 04/07 – Remi found a wonderful new forever home! He will be joining a family of 7 next weekend where he will be a companion dog.
